Linking Vowel Sounds: Casual Word Stress in Sentences

Here we will practice the same sentences, but more casually. When speaking this way, you will use less stress, pause less often and let the words flow together more. 

When you see “same,” this means that there are no extra points of casual English in the sentence. In other sentences, the extra points are shown. New points in this lesson are:

get the = get’the — the T is stopped or dropped
for or = for ‘r — though we can usually reduce “for,” we speak the O sound in this phrase
Management Strategies

1. It‘s important to arrive every day with high energy.
2. (same) Clearly demonstrate the viability of projects.
3. Always get’the go ahead from the senior level before pursuing projects.
4. (same) Understand the nuances of company politics.
5. Always’ave a trial period for new employees.
6. Refrain from showing bias for ‘r against personnel.
7. Believe thet there ‘r no coincidences–utilize all opportunities.
8. (same) Be proactive with new clients.
