-AL, -LE, and -EL Sounds: Casual Word Stress in Sentences

Here we will practice the same sentences, but more casually. When speaking this way, you will use less stress, pause less often and let the words flow together more. 

When you see “same,” this means that there are no extra points of casual English in the sentence. In other sentences, the extra points are shown.

Small Business

1. My friend believes thet working for a big company is a hassle.
2. He’as taken a big gamble and started’is own business.
3. He’as an original idea, but developing a good business plan’ll be crucial.
4. He’s researching the business models of Wikipedia and Amazon.
5. I think’ee should research businesses thet ‘r closer t’is level.
6. I believe’ee may be too frugal to handle big business.
7. Historically, he’as avoided national companies and even travel.
8. Anyway, he’ll finalize’is business plan by the end of the month.
