
New Words: Silent T
Remember that T can be completely silent in spellings with: vowel + nt + vowel. Here are a few new words and phrases where this rule applies. This rule is optional, but highly popular meaning that Americans will use a T sometimes when trying to be clear. Practice with the video here.

Words with stress on the 2nd syllable: point out, in front of, encounter, amount of, percentage, accountable, hold people accountable.
Words with stress on the 3rd syllable: interfere, intervene, representative, interact, interaction, confronted, disappointing, entertaining, sentimental, intervene, interfere, interrupt.
Words/Phrase with stress on the 4th syllable: interconnected, accountability, account executive
